2021 Summer Collection Launch Event Recap

We want to thank everyone that came to our 1st EVER launch event for our 2021 Summer Collection! We can’t thank these mother-founded companies enough for being a part of our special day! Sophie Dance for the incredible location, Domonique Rose for the most beautiful backdrop and bouquets ever, my talented brother Chase for our Wren Amber sign, Kids Luv Drinks for the healthy sustainable drinks that the kiddos and adults loved! Petite 'n Pretty for the mini makeovers that the kids lined up for! PizzaGirl for the yummy & healthy organic pasta Peekaboo for the delicious ice cream that everyone loved and Edoughble cookie dough that we all couldn’t get enough of! Each child absolutely enjoyed making their dream catchers to take home…and the parents really got into it too! And most importantly, we raised nearly $1000 for California Dance Institute! This was such a fun day for the families and we can’t wait for the next one ☺️

A little background on us:

Wren Amber is a couture children’s clothing line founded and created by a mother-daughter duo (Amber & Jessica), inspired by a granddaughter (Wren). We love honoring the times and vintage styles of the past and create timeless, heirloom styles that grow with your child. Styles that can be loved, worn, and passed down for years to come! Sustainability is a core value and why we choose to use mostly deadstock fabrics, keeping them out of our landfills, & making our styles limited and even more special. We are proud members of both HeyMama & Female Founder Collective.

We hand-selected California Dance Institute as our aspirational non-profit, to stay true to what Sophie Dance offers and the belief that dance really can make a positive impact on children’s lives. We love what CDI is accomplishing through its non-profit arts education program, teaching life and learning skills through dance and music. During the school year, CDI serves over 1600 children in ten public schools in underserved neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles. 80% of those children are on the free lunch program and are enrolled in the program completely for free!

We wanted to help raise awareness and visibility for the incredible MOTHER-founded businesses and are so grateful to each of them for taking part in our launch event! Learn more about these amazing businesses below!

Sophie Dance was founded by mom Sophie Pierce. She has three beautiful girls and has touched the lives of so many more children through their dance programs.

Wren Amber had a popup store and debuted our new Summer Collection!

Petite N Pretty gave away mini makeovers to our attendees! We love what Sam Cutler, founder of Petite N Pretty, has created for young ones: non-toxic age-appropriate makeup! Her goal “is to inspire, empower and encourage creativity throughout your beauty journey right from the start”

Pizza Girl founder Caroline D’Amore creates small-batch family recipe pasta sauces that are organic & have NO added sugar! The pandemic hit her business hard, but she rebranded and relaunched this past spring! We support any small-batch production whether in the food industry or the clothing industry…and we completely agree that “Everything begins with the base."

KidsLuv the first ZERO sugar, Vitamin beverage for kids & first recyclable, resealable, straw-free kids drink to hit the market! Ashi Jelinek, a fellow HeyMama member, founded TheLuving Company in 2018 and couldn’t be more aligned with our mission at Wren Amber. The company was "born out of the desire to provide better products for the whole family, while also maintaining a green carbon footprint.”

PeekABoo Ice Cream is all-natural organic ice cream with 1 full serving of veggies in every pint! The founder, a fellow HeyMama member, and mom of three started sneaking veggies into her homemade pints and hence PeekABoo was created! As parents, we love their solution to ice cream that we can feel good about feeding to our kids. We also can’t agree more with their mission to give back and agree that we can all help make the world a better place.

Domonique Rose had a floral station at the event and is an incredible local Angeleno florist and mama! She too is a fellow HeyMama member and a minority-owned business owner who loves what she does and we chose her because she too loves “creating unique products and finding new verticals that inspire and her main focus is and always will be the art we create. We don’t take life too seriously – and we’ll always stop to smell the roses"

Edoughble cookie dough: A local Los Angeles brick and mortar shop on Robertson Blvd. founded by yet another aspirational HeyMama member, Rana Lustyan. She is a Le Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef and debuted Edoughble in 2013 as the first-ever national edible cookie dough company! We appreciate their commitment and mission to ‘dough-nate’ and donate 5% of all Edoughble proceeds to the Food Recovery Network to help end hunger in the US.

Carnaby + Vine was founded by two mamas who make the most gorgeous & “thoughtfully curated gift boxes filled with boutique items to created shared special experiences”. These founders create “bespoke gift boxes filled with high-end products from artisan producers local to LA and CA as well as heritage British brands who share our fresh British styling”
